A view into the world of NonStop – one HPE NonStop sales team member’s insights …

NonStop Insider

HPE Enterprise Account Executive, Steve Kubick, has once again published a video to YouTube. You can visit this latest video using the link below. His choice of title, Nation Critical, is a reference to the US Department of Homeland Security’s mandate, recognizing that “the nation’s critical infrastructure provides the essential services that “is so vital to the United States that their incapacity or destruction would have a debilitating impact on our physical or economic security or public health. The nation’s critical infrastructure provides essential services that underpin American society.” As such 16 sectors that make daily life possible have been called out and include:

Furthermore, according to Homeland Security, “their incapacitation or destruction would have a debilitating effect on security, national economic security, national public health or safety, or any combination thereof. Presidential Policy Directive 21 (PPD-21): Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience advances a national policy to strengthen and maintain secure, functioning, and resilient critical infrastructure. “

Which is to say, there isn’t a sector referenced where NonStop doesn’t have a presence and furthermore, an issue that Steve calls out to is that any degradation or lessening of availability (of a service) for those companies within any of the above identified sectors, has to be reported. “We provide Nation Critical servers,” says Steve. “I cannot guarantee you that with a HPE NonStop system your application and company will become Nation Critical but I can pretty much guarantee that without a HPE NonStop system and NonStop SQL database, it probably won’t become Nation Critical.
