In the dynamic and data-driven world of today, businesses are under constant pressure to make swift, informed decisions. This necessitates immediate access to integrated and analyzed data, tailored to the specific needs of the enterprise. Recognizing this critical need, the development of the DataEdge for HPE NonStop platform marks a significant advancement in the ability of businesses to ingest, clean, enrich, and perform analytics on a myriad of data efficiently from NonStop Server Environments and other operations.

Firstly, the DataEdge platform is designed for turnkey integration with NonStop server environments as well as ingest disparate data streams, a task crucial for businesses dealing with high volumes of data from varied sources. The capability to perform statistics calculations at such a high velocity and variety is a cornerstone of the platform’s utility, ensuring that data is not just collected but also meaningful. This is particularly important in a market where data is available in abundance but the ability to derive insight from it in real time is what sets a business apart. The ability to provide analysis on the spot will improve the response times of NonStop management by cutting down on the need to crunch the numbers and cross reference between data streams. This information in-hand can help teams with infrastructure and application capacity planning to prevent these issues in the future.

Business Example:

If the CPU is running at high capacity and it is causing transactional problems, the NonStop management team will be notified of the issue. They will be able to see which CPU is running hot and can determine what processes or objects are causing the CPU to overload. They can view other related changes or issues to determine if the correlation or causation.

DataEdge will enable the HPE NonStop Management teams to get pertinent information that relates to transactional welfare, notifications/alerts that will alert them or verify that Transactions are being processed correctly and there are no issues with the underlying applications running on the HPE NonStop Server. The NonStop management teams can get both Performance Alerts and Transaction alerts to indicate what transactions are affected through DataEdge’s Dispatcher or through 3rd party help desk tools. The teams will also get ‘back to Normal’ alerts once the CPU returns to normal operating levels and that transactions are no longer timing out. The alerting system also allows for bidirectional feedback so if the alert is deemed unnecessary, the recipient can reject the alert. Based on the type of problem, the recipient can reassign the alert to another user or group within ServiceNow or in your help desk solution’s integration enabled by DataEdge APIs

The modern service-oriented architecture of the platform ensures that it is not only robust but also scalable, catering to the needs of large-scale enterprises. This is complemented by a responsive user interface focused on mobility and adaptable to different UI form factors, underlining the platform’s commitment to accessibility and user experience. In an era where timely access to information can make or break a market opportunity, such design considerations are not mere luxuries but necessities.

Furthermore, the platform offers optional bundles specifically tailored for ATM and POS financial transactions applications, addressing the needs of the financial industry by offering solutions that run on the HPE NonStop (ACI BASE24 Classic/EPS, FIS Connex, etc.). This specialization demonstrates the platform’s ability to cater to sector-specific requirements, providing tools that are not just generic but customized for the unique challenges and data environments of different industries. Be able to dive into the actual interactions and behavior for the ATM and POS transactions within Base24.

The DataEdge ETL layer efficiently streams host transaction logs in real-time from the HPE NonStop platform directly to the DataEdge platform on a Wintel server. This process ensures the delivery of every record in correct sequential order with exactly-once processing (E1P), enhancing data reliability and accuracy. To add value, the data is enriched with reference data for entities obtained from other sources, including adding geographical details.

Moreover, it incorporates additional merchant data, including names, addresses, store location, and terminal information, offering a comprehensive view of transactional contexts. The system is also designed to support recovery during network outages, ensuring data integrity and continuous operation. Furthermore, it accommodates Active-Active modes, ensuring the system’s high availability and resilience to failures, thereby enhancing overall reliability and performance.

When we have visibility into the transaction status, teams can be confident in the performance of their operations. Since connections can fail, let’s empower the teams to investigate incidents and resolve the issues. By offering a tool that not only integrates and streamlines the data analysis process but does so with an emphasis on real-time operational intelligence, the platform sets a new benchmark for business analytics solutions for NonStop environments. Its modern architecture, responsive design, industry-specific solutions, and expert-driven installation services make it a comprehensive solution poised to redefine how businesses approach data analytics in an ever-evolving marketplace.
