Prognosis: Payments Analytics and the Prognosis Cloud Platform
IR
DanSometimes it’s simply refreshing to step back and take a good long hard look at what’s involved in the Digital Transformation (DX) we are all pursuing. Yes, it’s complicated and yes, there are few easy answers. But DX is all about better supporting our customers. It’s all about being focused on addressing the needs of a changing customer environment. Most of all it’s about looking afresh at the data we gather, at the ecosystem we monitor and about providing real value.
The Enterprisers Project web site makes it very clear that:
“Digital transformation is the integration of digital technology into all areas of a business, fundamentally changing how you operate and deliver value to customers. It’s also a cultural change that requires organizations to continually challenge the status quo, experiment, and get comfortable with failure.”
For the NonStop community, equipment failure is not an issue as NonStop systems are proven fault tolerant technologies. What is inescapable however is that end-users holding smart technology in their hands are driving the need to deliver greater value relevant to them else we will lose their patronage. Business depends on users returning to your application time and time again and it’s vital to be able to preempt their next decision with the very item they need, be that a service, a product or simply cash.
DX is driving the need to become better with the use of our analytics. Data is created on NonStop and it’s become increasingly important to the business where integration with modern analytic tools has become today’s priority and no market finds this a more pressing requirement than the payments industry – failing to meet any customers’ needs oftentimes results in the customers taking their business elsewhere. It’s against this background that IR has released an updated version of Prognosis featuring Payments Analytics, “a new innovative cloud-based payments assurance solution and first product in the IR Transact solution suite.”
To better meet the requirements enterprises have for analytics, IR elected to build its new Prognosis platform as a cloud platform. Data collected from NonStop is integrated with this Prognosis cloud platform where it is then analyzed and delivered to dashboards highlighting actionable insights that the enterprise can pursue. According to CEO and Managing Director, John Ruthven:
“This is a pivotal moment in our company history. This new platform enables an immensely powerful level of intelligence. For our customers, they’ll be able to realize the potential of our solutions with greater ease and speed. And for the company it allows us to grow our share of markets we currently operate in and expand into new markets more quickly.”
NonStop and Hybrid IT are no strangers as NonStop has enjoyed a long association with platforms apart from NonStop. Embracing a hybrid of NonStop and cloud environments is simply an extension of this association and with NonStop and the Prognosis cloud platform, this “hybrid architecture enables powerful new Prognosis cloud services to work seamlessly with Prognosis software.” What has been familiar to Prognosis users remains even as what functions in the cloud results in the delivery “of more comprehensive real-time insights and analytics from the vast amounts of data collected by mission critical systems every day.”
