Issue 9.6 Editorial

Editorial August 2025

This issue of the NonStop Insider is available in just a few short weeks before the HPE NonStop Technical and Business Conference (TBC 2025) commences.

Just a short preview that may entice you to read this August 2025 issue despite the preparations for the TBC 2025!

Charlie Higgins, UKI Nonstop Specialist, writes about what’s in store for the New to Nonstop group (N2NS) read to find out more and pay attention to:

Pre-TBC Virtual Talk on September 2nd

To help first-time attendees get the most out of TBC, we’re hosting a Pre-TBC virtual talk on September 2nd. This informal session will offer practical tips, insider guidance, and a chance to meet fellow newcomers before the main event. To sign up, simply email new2nonstop@gmail.com.”

TCM, as always introduces some humor among pretty serious sentences and writing about routines and traditions you will find: “…only the Nonstop Technology & Business Conference, 2025 (Nonstop TBC 25) remaining as a major event as we head towards winter. TCM is sponsoring this event as a Platinum Sponsor and yet again, our vendor table in the exhibition arena will be hard to miss. Will the tradition of golf and whisky continue?” and then TCM article ends with: “And there is no substitution from unfiltered conversations that generally arise in such situations. It is our hope that Nonstop TBC 25 continues the tradition of excellence we have all become accustomed to so, there will be a buzz about the event, a vibrance that will be hard to miss. We will be there as will our golf putting green and our whisky pours – will we see you?”

Richard Buckle in his Opinion column talks about HPE Nonstop Compute vendors – folks who are investing in adding functionality to the platform, or offering applications on top of the HPE Nonstop platform. When it comes to TBC 2025 Richard writes: “From my perspective, if it wasn’t for the generosity of the Nonstop vendors, this annual gathering of the Nonstop community would be the poorer. It is not be accident that the Nonstop vendors see this as the best opportunity all year whereby they can address the single largest community gathering of the year. Marketing products and services is important for them and attendance is always a litmus test of just how invested are these Nonstop partners in all things Nonstop.”

NTI article is very upbeat and with regard to TBC 2025 it says: “This year’s Nonstop TBC 25 is being supported by NTI at the Diamond level. NTI will be the sole sponsor of the first night’s Beer Bust. Complementing the western theme of the event featuring New Frontiers, the Beer Bust will bring a touch of Gulf Coast Time to the evening where the style of a Jimmy Buffet event will be featured. Make sure you wear any Buffet or other Gulf Coast tee shirt you may have and look for the Cheeseburger sliders, courtesy of Connect.”

Lusis Payments’ article encourages all to: “Join us at this year’s HPE NonStop Technology & Business Conference for a powerful fireside chat and panel discussion featuring key industry leaders from HPE, OmniPayments, and Lusis Payments.

9:00am – 11:00am on the Thursday (18th).

Representing Lusis on the panel is
Mark J. Schermann
Global Head of Sales, Lusis Payments

The article finishes with: “Don’t miss it. Add Session 2 to your schedule at the HPE NonStop Technology & Business Conference.
Come and hear how Lusis Payments and others are reshaping the future of financial technology.”

Gravic summarized the important points that were included in its latest Connection article, about the rule of the 3-2-1-1: “Data and cyber security experts alike recommend saving at least:

  • 3 copies of your data,
  • On 2 different storage media,
  • 1 copy being air-gapped,
  • And 1 copy being immutable (or offsite) “

Of course “Gravic is looking ahead at the HPE Nonstop Technology & Business Conference 2025!” and if you want to know what will be covered by Gravic in the sessions at TBC 2025 you just need to read the article!

ETI-NET’s article covers what was happening in Q3 for NTI and also talks about ETI-NET and Gravic collaboration. ETI-NET says: “Join us at TBC 25 to explore the next generation of ETI-NET solutions.”

Keith Moore, Distinguished Technologist at HPE, writes a very positive and quite upbeat article and if you read: “I really want to encourage Nonstop Compute customers to consider this chance to meet directly with HPE Nonstop Compute business leaders and HPE Nonstop Compute technical leads, face to face. As you know, I love talking with customers and partners about the needs and ideas for Nonstop going forward. This will be a great opportunity for side meetings and ideas swaps.  It’s a great place for the technically curious and for the business planners.”

Well, you may be thinking what I am thinking – Keith Moore will be attending TBC 2025 and is open to conversations!

CSP writes about challenges users of the Nonstop compute are facing in the area of identifying and fixing security vulnerability and states: “CSP Vulnerability Scanner version 3.0 is available now. VulScan v3.0 can now scan Pathways and the OSS environment. It includes all the features and reports from our previous release, but we have now enhanced it with several new OSS and Pathway reports. Request a free evaluation copy today!

Do read the article and see if you can benefit applying CSP tools to your environment.

TIC software article is certainly great, particularly if you are introducing new developers to the Nonstop platform. TIC software talks about its now enhanced Navigator product. “Navigator delivers ROI from day one by freeing up developer time, minimizing interruption of valuable SME resources, and speeding up the onboarding process.

We’re excited to showcase Navigator at TBC and share how it works to solve Nonstop’s most pressing needs. We invite you to connect with us at TBC, reach out with your challenges and see how Navigator can solve them.”

From comforte comes an article dealing with unified security solutions, particularly the key management. Please read the article that ends with “There’s therefore a clear business and technology requirement for a centralized, unified key management solution. Nonstop organizations need to minimize risk, streamline operations and drive competitive advantage. In short, they need security as a business enabler, not a block on growth.”

I will finish my editorial with Richard Buckle’s Real Time View.
Please read the article and as Richard says “Looking further ahead, there will be coverage on everything Nonstop related following the event with greater reporting on what is likely to prove interesting to the Nonstop community…”
