ETI-NET: NonStop TBC 2024 delivers greater alignment with HPE and the NonStop team

For the NonStop community, there are numerous regional user group events each year. Of these the primary conference is the annual NonStop TBC Conference and this year, NonStop TBC 2024 Conference proved doubly important. It also represented an opportunity for all of the NonStop community to gather to celebrate fifty years of NonStop, formerly known as Tandem Computers.

When it comes to the expectations of the NonStop community, nothing stands out more than wanting to see and hear the latest news about the product roadmaps. The move to the Intel x86 architecture, the InfiniBand fabric and the introduction of virtualization has now begun to mature as most NonStop customers have many of the all elements from prior years’ roadmaps already deployed. As a purchaser of NonStop, you will have a greater choice of how you consume NonStop and this was a major theme of the conference.

What take-aways did we leave with following NonStop TBC 2024?  The commitment made by HPE executives to the success of NonStop, ongoing processing architecture resiliency advancements shown by HPE Spaceborne computers, and continuous alignment with the enhanced NIST 2.0 Cybersecurity Framework were key takeaways. Listening to Casey Taylor VP & GM, HPE NonStop, Compute, High Performance Computing & Artificial Intelligence has proved hard to ignore. Her demonstration of improved business performance is going a long way to convince IT executives of the longer-term viability of NonStop.

New customers, new partnerships, new products, a commitment to industry standards, support for plug-and-play reference models are all tangible evidence that the modernization of NonStop is well underway.
