For NTI, it’s all about replication!

Replicating data, customer wins and early adoptions!

For the NTI team, freshly returned from Dublin, Ireland and the E-BITUG European NonStop Symposium, it has been full steam ahead. Your NTI team has been actively capitalizing on opportunities that arose directly following the conclusion of this event. It is always the expectation that participation in the major Nonstop Compute events is the best proving ground for new ideas and this year, there was no exception – ideas that were just in the infancy developed into realizable products and features.

The Connect team handled the complexity of registration and lived up to all expectations. The E-BITUG committee likewise delivered a conference every bit as exciting as early promotion predicted. For some, Dublin was an unknown factor but, in all regards, it delivered with many attendees noting that should Dublin again appear as a European destination then they would be only too happy to support. All that now needs to happen is to know where next European Nonstop Compute community will gather. As it returns to Germany, perhaps Munich?

For this past event, NTI brought a full complement of it’s executive and management teams. It proved invaluable as, like what is happening across the broader spectrum of Nonstop vendors, there’s nothing like showcasing the support for Nonstop among customers and vendors alike – nothing breeds success like the appearance of successful deployments of Nonstop software and solutions. There is no escaping the excitement that followed the official announcement of the Starship products – the HPE Nonstop Compute NS9 X5 and NS5 X5 converged systems. Already we are witnessing Nonstop customers planning tech refreshes based on deploying these new systems from the Nonstop product portfolio.

It says a lot about the interest in Nonstop by customers and indeed by HPE itself. No new systems are ever developed without a cost and HPE’s continued investment in Nonstop is evident from the spec-sheets of these new converged systems. What may prove most invaluable of all, once you get past the overall improved performance characteristics of these new systems, is the coming availability of Kernel Level Threading (KLT). A much sought-after feature it will likely arouse more interest in porting solutions to Nonstop than otherwise would have been possible.

However, as important as these most recent developments have been for Nonstop Compute and as encouraging as the continued investments in Nonstop Compute by HPE are, for NTI, what is impressing the NTI team even more is the willingness of the Nonstop customer to consider the benefits available when looking at alternate products, including all the products within the DRNet®/Unified portfolio. Due diligence remains of uttermost importance for all Nonstop customers and it has become more apparent as they reach out to NTI to explore their options.

Following successful migrations from GoldenGate to DRNet®/Unified for GoldenGate Customers, further inroads into the GoldenGate base have begun. And its not just the GoldenGate customers that are looking to DRNet®/Unified, but Nonstop customers running other data replication products as well. Look for further updates in this regard at the upcoming Nonstop Technology & Business Conference, 2025 (Nonstop TBC 25), planned for Houston, Texas this September.

Looking further afield, having successfully piloted DRNet®/Kafka and executed the first product license, our bidirectional native Kafka support – powered by uLinga for Kafka, courtesy of Infrasoft – NTI has also generated new business for DRNet®/Gateway, a premier application integration and modernization technology, again powered by uLinga. The relationship between NTI and Infrasoft is deepening as a result of new licenses gained and the benefits to the Nonstop customer are considerable. Deploying a true data streaming platform via Kafka and then being able to map traditional protocols to more modern protocols, comes with recognizable benefits for the Nonstop customers.

“The interest being generated by our recent additions to the DRNet® product portfolio strengthens our replication business,” said Cody Newton, NTI’s CEO. “With Nonstop TBC 25 just around the corner, these recent wins for DRNet® couldn’t be timelier. NTI is always being asked about ‘what’s new’ and given the past year, there’s much that is new, including new customers, new partnerships and yes, new products. Most important of all is that together, they are generating new business for NTI and that is perhaps the most encouraging aspect of all!”

This year’s Nonstop TBC 25 is being supported by NTI at the Diamond level. NTI will be the sole sponsor of the first night’s Beer Bust. Complementing the western theme of the event featuring New Frontiers, the Beer Bust will bring a touch of Gulf Coast Time to the evening where the style of a Jimmy Buffet event will be featured. Make sure you wear any Buffet or other Gulf Coast tee shirt you may have and look for the Cheeseburger sliders, courtesy of Connect.

NTI will conduct a session: To be given by Richard, headlined with AI? agentic AI? Intelligence? Smart Nonstop customers leverage replication for integration – do you? This session will be one of many tracks being delivered in this timeslot, Tuesday – 3:30 pm – 4:15 pm, so make sure you pencil in the date and time. It will be up against some pretty tough competition but we trust you will take time out to spend it with your NTI team.

Even as the DRNet® product portfolio expands, the partnerships and products all leverage the NTI knowledge of data replication. For many years now, NTI has seen data replication applied to data distribution and integration with the support of open databases and industry standard processes becoming a much-needed feature. Extending the value proposition of data replication implementations in this manner and bringing Nonstop vendors into partnerships where capitalizing on data replication has given NTI customer wins, product wins, knowledge to early adopters and a voice for Nonstop vendors you may not be as familiar with as you are with NTI.

Should your plans include attending September’s HPE Nonstop Technology and Business Conference, then make sure you find time to stop by NTI’s booth to hear more of where NTI is headed, whether it’s simply about getting off GoldenGate or perhaps, even more importantly, how your Nonstop Compute platform can better integrate with your enterprise IT and make a contribution to your agentic AI initiatives. We look forward to seeing you and be prepared; there will be more good news, of customer commitments to NTI yet to come.
