A few times per year Infrasoft gathers for all employee planning sessions in Sydney. Around the end of the year, we also tie a Christmas lunch in with those meetings, and in recent years, the timing of our meetings/Christmas lunch has coincided with the OZTUG Sydney Christmas drinks, which is always a happy calendar clash!

We had our meetings and Christmas lunch the week of Dec 2nd, and once again overlapped with the OZTUG drinks, so we’ve had a productive and enjoyable week, with both planning meetings, and catching up with friends and former colleagues at OzTUG.
Our planning meetings were mostly focused on our uLinga for Kafka and uLinga Gateway products, and the newer features that are being developed within each. Data Transformation is a hot topic with our customers, as well as some new diagnostic features to help with visibility of data flowing to/from Kafka, and management of the Kafka cluster from the NonStop. Watch this space for more details on those enhancements.

As far as the OZTUG Christmas Drinks, once again XYPRO’s Feng Lin stepped up to organize a great get together. The venue was Bungalow 8 on the beautiful King St Wharf, enjoying Sydney’s slightly tropical weather, typical for December. The catch up followed a presentation from HPE, where a number of sessions from this year’s NonStop TBC 2024 Conference were summarised for those that couldn’t be in Monterrey back in September. Bungalow 8 proved to be a great location for a few quiet drinks, and a chat with people we haven’t seen for a while – just what is needed at the end of the year!
With barely a care in the world at this time, among NonStop community members worldwide, all that OzTUG attendees have to contend with is whether the Australian cricket team can rise to meet the country’s expectations when next facing the Indian cricket team.
Thanks to OZTUG, and XYPRO for organizing a lovely afternoon. And thanks (in advance, at the time of writing) to comforte, who are hosting a similar event on Dec 6th in Melbourne!
