NTI Strikes Gold!

Whenever the Nonstop community gathered for conferences and events in 2025, the level of sponsorship was publicized far and wide by the team at Connect. This organization does a truly splendid job when it comes to delivering a product we can all enjoy. A mix of the primary vendor, HPE Nonstop Compute, a supporting cast of independent third-party vendors and consultants, and a sizable representation from the global Nonstop customer base. This has been a decades-long, tried-and-true, formula familiar to all members of the Nonstop community. Each year, it seems to break down to one third HPE, one third vendors and one third customers and in so doing, ensures a platform for networking with conversations taking place everywhere you turned.

In recent times, NTI has proved hard to miss. Who could ignore the many times the NTI team laid out tables in highly visible locations. When sponsorships were marketed as being gold, diamond, platinum, etc. it was always NTI stepping in at the highest level of sponsorship. Not just directly supporting the Connect in this very tangible manner, but sponsoring welcome events, celebration tee shirts and fun games and yes, those ever-popular hospitality suites that encouraged conversations that went late into the night.

However, when you consider how far NTI has come these past couple of years, visibility alone doesn’t tell the full story. Irrespective of the sponsorships being silver, gold, platinum and more, for the NTI team, 2025 was a year we truly struck gold. NTI marketing elevated the posture of NTI but more importantly, new products became available, new partnerships delivered and yes, customers migrated away from legacy solutions to more modern offerings from NTI. As a company we embraced migrations as a way to publicly convey how well we were meeting Nonstop customer requirements midway through this decade.

Our marketing message became recognizable as it’s NTI that moves the data that moves your business. This is an acknowledgment that Business Continuity delivered to enhance Disaster Recovery (D/R) proved to be just a starting point. The excellence of the DRNet®/Unified platform based as it is on Change Data Capture (CDC) meant that we can spread out the potential targets of such captured changes to either update the D/R site, load to third party databases including Oracle and IBM’s DB2, and format within messages targeting external processes. It is this last category where NTI’s support for Hybrid IT, a key element within the support for moving your data, is getting traction within the Nonstop customer community.

New products became available and found Nonstop customers. Time-Series Databases (TSDB) were now supported and these included Splunk>, ELK and more. However, it is the progress NTI has made in its support of Kafka where NTI has been recognized for its leadership role. It was certainly a golden moment when our first customer went live with our DRNet®/Kafka solution – natively, without the presence of any external Kafka server. Costs were contained and technology simplified and with access to a consulting core quickly gaining experience in best practices, this first use case is attracting attention. More recently, we added DRNet®/Gateway – bridging legacy apps to match the needs of modern solutions where Nonstop plays a supporting role.

For many years now our partner ecosystem has been the subject of a concerted effort to attract additional partnerships into the NTI ecosystem. A program to tap the skillsets of others in technologies adjacent to the core competencies of NTI. TANDsoft has been one such partner for some time and they possess our industries fastest FS: Compare and Repair. This product Identifies, reports, and resolves inconsistencies in both live and offline databases and in so doing, further assist CIOs looking to sleep through the night without worrying whether their sites were operating in synchrony with each other as designed. This year, we added Infrasoft to the NTI partner ecosystem and struck gold immediately.

For NTI, the availability of DRNet®/Kafka, powered by uLinga and DRNet®/Gateway, powered by uLinga steps in to better address the needs of customers looking to modernize their environment. Where Kafka has cemented its place as a popular vehicle when it comes to deploying a distributed event streaming platform. Together, with DRNet® providing CDC and Kafka the JSON messaging, plugging Nonstop into a Kafka focused platform becomes a lot easier a task to achieve. When it comes to modernization, DRNet®/Gateway is the bridge many Nonstop customers have been asking for as it enables seamless protocol and data transformation across multiple applications and devices. Do you have a need to better secure transmitted messages but your solution hasn’t been updated? Not a concern as this is one target application for DRNet®/Gateway.

Much more can be achieved with both partner Infrasoft products powering DRNet®/ – and more use cases will follow in 2026 so look for them on the NTI web site – and with TANDsoft and Infrasoft anchoring the NTI partner ecosystems, NTI is looking to add additional vendors in 2026 as we look to leverage the movement of data rapidly, securely and cost-effectively.  While Nonstop TBC 2025 was the forum where NTI introduced its new tag line, “We move the data that moves your business,” it was also an appropriate venue to promote what we have lovingly embraced as our M&Ms strategy – timely, for the holiday season.

More than just a reference to a chocolate treat but an acknowledgement that with the introduction of its latest company tag line, “We move the data that moves your business,” much of what was covered in presentation given in 2025 included words starting with the letter M. For NTI, it’s all about Movement, Modernization, Migration and the benefits that come with deploying DRNet®/Unified at the center of your data movement strategy. If 2025 was the year NTI struck gold with new customers, new products introduced and new partners embraced, then as we look to 2026, be sure to see more good news as yet still very much in the works. Watch for it and check our website and look for our regular updates in this publication, The Connection, and posts to various LinkedIn groups.

NTI will be hard to miss and to all of our customers, partners, consultants and friends at HPE, the very best wishes for the holiday season from all of us at NTI!
