This Revolution is not Televised

By Keith Moore
Distinguished Technologist at HPE

As we head to the Nonstop Technology & Business Conference 2026, in just a few weeks, it is shocking to consider that we demonstrated at last year’s event a simple, but powerful, means to deliver telemetry data into enterprise observability stacks like Grafana, OpsRamp, and Dynatrace. We knew it would of interest, but even we were surprised to see how much interests there is in this capability.

A year later, we are formalizing the deliverable to make this available to all users. I couldn’t be more excited to see this happen.  We did not sit back to watch the graphs and messages fly by this past year without taking notice. We have been deep down into the design and development of something very powerful, yet easy to deploy into your chosen observability stack.

That is how users want it; so that is how we are delivering this capability. I hope to see some of you again at the event so that we can share the latest updates to this powerful approach to expanding visibility of the business value Nonstop provides to the entire enterprise. Once the enterprise sees that the up-time and the scalability of Nonstop are real, it will give us all something to brag about even outside of our Nonstop community.

That’s yet another value of Open Telemetry and Observability for Nonstop; pride and bragging rights to availability compared to all other platforms, including Kubernetes, Linux, and other platforms.

As I just stated, we did not sit on our “observability laurels”.  We enriched our portfolio with new features and new products in software development, run-time management, platform execution environment, and some special new ways to re-invigorate and expand the potential of Nonstop.

Add to all of this the AI revolution.

To paraphrase the great Gil Scott-Heron, “This revolution will not be televised.” You will not be able to stay home. There will be no broadcast to the world about the potential to leverage container execution. There will be no screaming about the power of Nonstop with AIOps – part of the work we are doing with Frigg and beyond, with the work Franz Koenig and development are doing with some automation for operations enhancements to our current (Nonstop Management Facility) NSMF product.

The revolution will not stop just at enterprise visibility.  The revolution will spread across virtualized operating systems and beyond containers. The revolution will not be contained just within the Nonstop platform but will expand beyond and will leverage AI in new ways.  The wonder of the revolution will be shared and seen beyond just the walls of the Nonstop TBC 2025.  This revolution will be a tiger in the tank of Nonstop. There will be no re-runs of old demonstrations. It will be in front of you and will show you the way forward with Nonstop. But the revolution will not be televised. I look forward to the event again this year and have great plans to share some exiting new capabilities that can drive new solutions onto Nonstop. All of us; we all need to be part of the revolution.

See you at Nonstop TBC 2026, Orlando, Sept 15-17, 2026.
