This August issue of the NonStop Insider brings quite a few interesting reads!
Nexbridge starts its provocative article with “Breaking News: On August 4th, Reuters reported that an India panel wants localization of cloud storage data in a possible blow to big tech firms” and ends it with an assertion that a NonStop Cloud may be the only solution to this problem… “
Social Media Roundup this month brings an interesting exchange between IBM and NonStop supporters – fun, as always.
DataExpress picked up on “HPE announced that former HPE global head of sales, Phil Davis, is to become President, Hybrid IT” – there is a significance to this announcement for us all – read more and comment if you want to contribute.
It seems that there are even more NonStop user events and more attendees present at these events: You will read in the HPE RUG update: “When it came to RUG events in July, the focus was definitely on the Asia Pacific region where events were held in both Korea and Taiwan.”
IR reported: “In late July, IR had the pleasure of attending the HPE Taiwan Technology Day in Taipei, exhibiting and presenting with our regional partner Syscom. We were impressed to see over 90 people in attendance with more than 10 companies represented from the region. It was good to see some new NonStop customers from Korea and Japan.”
ETI-NET also commented on the Asia Pac events: “Spread across a week, with first the HPE Korea NonStop Technology Day on July 24thand then HPE Taiwan NonStop Technology Day on July 27th, it gave us an opportunity to talk to sizable base of NonStop deployment. It is always of interest to ETI-NET to see NonStop systems being used in markets apart from the Americas and Europe and while NonStop deployments among Financial Instructions isn’t a real surprise, there is always more to learn about the Asian market with every visit we make to the region.”
All this in addition to the Partners Symposium in Palo Alto, CA held on July 9th, the OZTUG now planned for September and of course more to come – see HPE RUG update.
