It is this time of the year – in Colorado trees are changing colors; yeah, transformation, hybrid and clouds….
Almost everyone is talking about the upcoming TBC (NonStop Technical Boot Camp) as well as their participation in other gatherings of the NonStop community. If you need a little comic relief you may want to jump to the TSI article where Glenn Garrahan illustrates a flawed use case for making a major purchase. I loved it.
Gravic’s article also talks about use case scenarios: “The Gravic team recently presented, HPE Shadowbase Mission-Critical Use Case Solutions and Product News at ATUG in Atlanta and CTUG in Toronto. Attendees learned about new and future HPE Shadowbase features and how the software solves various enterprise use case problems”. Read on to find out more!
In the HPE RUGs article you will read: “If the presentations at the recently held NonStop Partner Symposium are any guide as to what to expect at this event, make sure you register for this November 3 – 6, 2019 event. It’s sure looking like an event not to be missed! As for the good news, the recent airport runway closures are now behind us so that jetting into an out of San Francisco airport should not present attendees with any problems at this time. Of course, there will still be those attendees who prefer to drive to this event so to each of them, safe travels!”
ETI is getting ready for TBC and you will read in ETI article; “At TBC we will also be providing demonstrations of our new Dedupe capabilities and the advantages it will provide. It’s not just about reduced bandwidth and less storage needs, but also about support for the cloud providing the storage for a fraction of the cost traditionally associated with support for data backups – as low as 10% of traditional costs”
From Insider Technologies comes good news about its Reflex product: “Insider Technologies is pleased to share the redesigned Graphical User Interface for Reflex monitoring in advance of Insider Technologies attendance at TBC2019.” The Insider Technologies article ends with “Be sure to seek out Karl Gilbank at TBC 2019 for more information.”
IR is also getting ready for TBC “At this year’s event your IR team will include Kevin Boham, Jim Bowers, Jack van Meel and Garrett Tate. While you will always be able to find one or more of us in the Partner Pavilion, we are looking forward to spending more time with you looking to find out more about Prognosis and with the venue at the Hyatt Regency providing many quiet corners we entreat you to come visit us and let us know about all your management and monitoring needs as NonStop X and even virtualized NonStop capture more of the attention of the NonStop user community.”
NTI talks about its participation in many events this year and about getting ready for TBC where its presentation will include news about the company direction; “NTI has also announced DRNet® VISION – support for better NonStop integration with AI, BI, data lakes and warehouses. And to this effect, NTI is pleased to announce DRNet® supports JSON formats to better integrate with data lakes and warehouses including Splunk and many more! Support for JDBC and JSON extends the capabilities of DRNet® beyond anything currently available on NonStop.”
There is a big news coming from Data Express – read their article which starts with “LandStar, Inc. (OTCPK: LDSR) (“LandStar” or the “Company”), the parent company of Data443 Risk Mitigation, Inc. (“Data443”), a leading data security and privacy software company, today announced it has completed the acquisition of DataExpress™, one of the world’s leading vendors for secure sensitive data transfer for hybrid cloud.”
There is a fascinating article this month from FSS: “FSS (Financial Software and Systems), a global payments technology company, released a report titled – FSS Digital Banking Trends — 2019, based on a study conducted among 12 banks in India.” You may find the results of this study really interesting!
