Issue 4.4 Editorial

DanDan

I am feeling very optimistic looking ahead to the first year of the new decade – and you will see that this optimism is shared by just about everyone!

Striim believes: “2020 will be a year where deployment of Striim within the enterprise will continue to grow – there is tremendous value in having the Striim platform present in any IT establishment.”

From DataExpress: “With this transition of DataExpress into Data443 behind us, we are now looking at 2020 … To say we are cautiously optimistic is perhaps the best way to describe our expectations for the coming year,” said Data443 Engineering Manager, Billy Whittington.”

ETI is not behind in expressing its hopes: “Looking deeper into the coming decade we see that ETI-NET will continue to be viewed as a world leader in backup of all data critical to the industries that pride themselves on never having to stop. For ETI-NET it’s always been about supporting disparate servers that continue to exist in modern data centers and in so doing, we ensure NonStop’s participation in storage architectures involving the very latest storage solutions – crucial to any data center roadmap in 2020.”

NTI too is very bullish on its 2020 prospects: “NTI’s commitment to the NonStop community will likewise go from strength to strength. Priorities for NTI in 2020 will be creating further product offerings for DRNet®/Vision for Splunk> – for instance BASE24 as a source is already being piloted and support of Splunk> as a target will be joined with support for Hadoop, Kafka, ELK and more will follow.”

As for TSI the mood couldn’t be more cheerful: “So as we embark together on our journey through the third decade of the 21st century, we here at TSI are looking forward to perhaps the most successful and innovative era in the NonStop community’s long history. Time will tell…….”

Pyalla Technologies says: “The traditional holiday season spanning mid-December through to mid-January are now behind us and we are already focusing on 2020. Yes this truly is the year where we should be enjoying 20/20 eyesight, a reference to having a ‘sharpness of vision!’ To say I like this might miss the point – we are coming off a five year transformation period for NonStop and now it’s all about delivery.”

In Social Media Roundup the point was made: “No there is never truly any bad news, just news and this past month there has been plenty of news to talk about and it leaves us here at NonStop Insider pondering what all might transpire in 2020.“

In the HPE corner you will read about the signs that point to NonStop gaining visibility within HPE and Richard Buckle draws our attention to:” check out: HPE Virtualized NonStop – Bringing Mission-Critical to Private Cloud

In the article “A view into the world of NonStop – one HPE NonStop sales team member’s insights …” you will read how HPE Enterprise Account Executive, Steve Kubick, created a new video: “If you would like to play Steve’s short video you can do so by simply following the link below that will take you to Youtube –
