This year’s HPE Nonstop Technology & Business Conference (TBC 2025) in The Woodlands, Texas, brought together the best of the Nonstop community – and NuWave has always been excited to be part of it. The event was packed with learning, networking, and plenty of inspiration. Here are a few highlights that stood out to us:

New Branding, New Emphasis

The official rebranding as the HPE Nonstop Technology & Business Conference broadened the horizons, adding an emphasis on business strategy alongside deep technical content.

That shift made it clear: this conference wasn’t just about code or hardware, it was about how Nonstop supports bigger business goals, digital transformation, and long-term business resilience.

NuWave’s Session: From Pathway to REST

NuWave’s session, “From Pathway to REST: Simplifying Microservices with LightWave,” focused on making microservices easy for Nonstop environments. The presentation showed how existing Pathway-based transactions can be exported as REST APIs using LightWave Server and LightWave Client. Using a live demo platform, the session walked attendees through a real-world card payment scenario, illustrating the end-to-end flow from Pathway to LightWave. The demonstration highlighted just how simple and efficient it can be to modernize legacy applications and integrate them into modern, API-driven architectures.

Fun at TBC

One of our favorite TBC traditions – The Beer Bust! The perfect chance to relax, catch up with old friends, and meet new people. With cold drinks and lively conversations, the community always comes together.

The Nonstop Rodeo at TBC 2025 brought a true taste of Texas to the conference. With classic southern fare, live DJ sets, line dancing lessons, a Hat Bar to customize our own cowboy hats and of course – the mechanical bull for those brave enough to take a ride (we did)!

Final Thoughts

For NuWave, TBC 2025 was more than just a conference. It was a chance to showcase solutions, share insights on microservices and modernization, and strengthen connections across the Nonstop ecosystem. With a perfect mix of learning, networking, and fun, the event reaffirmed why this community continues to lead in mission-critical innovation.
