Turning HPE Nonstop into Competitive Advantage with TAMUNIO

HPE Nonstop customers continue to face a forbidding set of business headwinds. With geopolitical and economic uncertainty showing no signs of abating, there’s a greater need than ever to find new ways to harness corporate data for competitive advantage. But also to do so in a cost-efficient and secure way. That hasn’t always been easy across Nonstop and hybrid enterprise systems.
Some of the world’s largest and most complex IT environments now have the means to do both. With comforte TAMUNIO, they have a single platform with which to future-proof data-centric security, centralize secrets management, and unlock their Nonstop platform for modern use. And it doesn’t stop there.
Twenty Billion Challenges
The latest report from the FBI reveals that cybercrime cost US businesses and consumers nearly $21bn last year — a 26% annual increase. Data breaches alone came with a price tag of close to $1.8bn for the year. And a new category of AI-related threats topped $893m. Even these figures are likely to be just the tip of the iceberg.
Banks, telcos and retailers — among the biggest customers of HPE Nonstop — are also among the most popular targets for threat actors. In March, Canadian telco offshoot Telus confirmed an incident after hackers claimed to have stolen one petabyte of data. In the same month, retailer Loblaw admitted it too had been hacked and customer data compromised. And banking tech provider Marquis recently admitted that over 675,000 customers were impacted when ransomware actors gained access to its systems last year. The company provides data analytics to help firms in the sector to improve their services.
Counting the Cost
HPE Nonstop customers therefore have plenty to keep them awake at night. The business-critical applications running on their Nonstop platform remain an attractive target for hackers. But it’s not just the costs and reputational/regulatory risks associated with potential incidents that are a concern.
Security, compliance and even data sovereignty issues can stall much-needed modernization efforts. Without an effective way to secure data for use in analytics tools, organizations may be unable to surface crucial insight with which to make better business decisions. That can impact everything from product development to fraud prevention and customer retention strategies.
Disjointed security tools can also create their own challenges. They add licensing costs and administrative overheads and lengthen audit times. They can also lead to security coverage gaps which threat actors can exploit. And they make it harder to prove compliance with cybersecurity regulations.
The TAMUNIO Difference
This is where comforte’s TAMUNIO platform comes into its own. It’s been designed to offer comprehensive data security, key/secrets management and secure connectivity from a single platform. That can save costs, reduce change risk and help organizations to roll out policies enterprise wide.
The business value of TAMUNIO is clear. It helps HPE Nonstop customers to:
- Reduce operational complexity and cost through centralized key and secrets management, configuration management, auditing and monitoring
- Mitigate security risks by automating TLS and SSH key rotation, eliminating manual effort and human error
- Drive secure cloud adoption and build out modern enterprise IT without the need to re-engineer existing applications
- Unlock the full value of their data securely with de-identified, format-preserved and fully protected data
- Future-proof the organization against quantum-based threats
- Open core HPE Nonstop services via secure APIs and modern UIs
- Support moves to securely accelerate partnerships
